Got take out for the first time from here because I was craving mofongo. Food was great, and I got put into a mini coma due to the mofongo and carne frita combo. Service was great and it was very welcoming, would definitely go again for authentic Puerto Rican food.
I love getting takeout from Carmen's. If you're ever craving Puerto Rican food this is the place to go. The portions are huge and everything comes with a side of something Today I got a loaded platter of stewed beef with yellow rice and a side of beans + potato. Along with an order of mofongo with fried pork and a side salad to keep the ole cholesterol in check. The platters a hearty and will fill you all the way up Carmen truly is the sweetest gal. I love this place and I'll never stop coming back Call ahead - meals are made fresh to order (about 15-20 mins if they are busy)
Carmen provided the food for my father's funeral reception. Everything was hot and delicious, it was perfect, everyone enjoyed. Can't wait to try more dishes in person at the restaurant. Thank you Carmen!

Hands down the best Puerto Rican food in the state of Delaware! Everything on the menu is delicious. I had the ribs and they were fall-off-the-bone amazing. Carmen is phenomenal! Definitely worth the visit!
Have not been posting as I have been focusing on school. I had to come out of hibernation to review the takeout I got from this restaurant. Mofongo is the ultimate dish. Yummy, starchy garlicky, its just frickin amazing. So with that said, I didn't feel like heading to Camden, which is where I normally go to get really good Puerto Rican food. I decided to try Carmens. I ordered mofongo with shrimp and alcapurria. A small side salad and oil came with it. My daughter who did the pickup mentioned the place was clean, and the owner herself was amazing with great customer service. The food was made to order, so I am glad we called it in. The shrimp were HUGE!! Lol she was generous!! Lots of garlicky sauce to accommodate the shrimp!! Nice size mofongo ball. Just amazing. The only thing was the mofongo ball. I would have liked to have a more sturdier bottom, but its all good!! I will be back to try other menu items. I just wish my daughter got their menu. It was hard to find online. I did reach out to JL Jupiter to go and show some on his YouTube channel. #supportsmallbusinesses
Best Puerto Rican cuisine outside of Puerto Rico. Carmen is a beautiful person who takes great pride in her food! She catered my husbands 50th birthday party for 50 people! The raves from family and friends made this party a huge success. Her Aunt makes the desserts which we had flan and guava y queso pastries! Prices are exceptional! My in-laws are from Puerto Rico and they loved everything! This is now my go to Puerto Rican restaurant!
